We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team as the Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Engineering. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background to oversee and manage all engineering activities.

Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer to take on the role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all engineering activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent technical skills, and a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction of various civil engineering projects.
  • Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organisation’s established policies and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the engineering department that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, issues, and solutions to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in project management and team leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficient in engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
